• Website Artist, Judy Templeton, spent most of her life in northern BC. She is largely self-taught but has taken workshops from well-known watercolour artists such as Jeanne Carbonetti, Barbara Nechis and Linda Kemp. Judy’s work consists of watercolours and many types of printmaking, such as collagraph, dry point, cyanotype, linocut, and mono-prints. The watercolours are often described as peaceful meditative and serene. The collagraphs are seen as delicate, organic and natural. In contrast, the mono prints and linocuts are bold and vibrant. Judy’s work is mostly abstract or non-representational. Judy draws her inspiration largely from within, mixed with a large dose of inspiration from the beauty around her, particularly patterns, shapes and shadows. Curiosity and experimentation are also fundamental in her creations. Judy also loves using found items from nature in her printmaking exploration. |
